1. How to request account deletion
- Sign in to your Display Manager account and open /l/security.
- In the Delete account section, type DELETE to confirm the request.
- If your account uses email and password sign-in, enter your current password as part of the confirmation step.
- If your account uses Google or GitHub sign-in, the signed-in session plus the DELETE confirmation is sufficient.
If you cannot access your account, contact support@display-manager.com from the email address associated with the account and request manual deletion assistance.
2. What is deleted when the request completes
- Your active website, mobile, and desktop sign-in access is disabled.
- Your email address, local password hash, and OAuth account linkage are removed from the active account profile.
- Password-reset tokens, email-change tokens, desktop refresh tokens, and desktop sign-in approval sessions for that account are deleted.
- Device bindings associated with licenses on that account are deleted, which removes account-linked desktop access for those devices.
3. What may be retained and for how long
- Order, payment, invoice, tax, and license records: may be retained in an anonymized form for up to 7 years where needed for accounting, tax, anti-fraud, chargeback, or legal compliance purposes.
- Support and security logs: may be retained for up to 30 days, or longer when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, fraud, security incidents, legal claims, or compliance obligations.
Retained records are kept only to the extent reasonably necessary for those purposes and are not kept to restore normal sign-in access to the deleted account.
4. Important effects of deletion
- Account deletion is intended to be permanent and should be treated as irreversible.
- Deleting the account removes access to account-linked licenses and device bindings for that account.
- This process does not automatically delete records held by third-party providers such as payment processors or identity providers that operate under their own retention obligations and policies.
