1. What this notice covers
This page covers cookies and similar browser-side storage used by the Display Manager website. Similar technologies can include local storage and other device-side identifiers used to remember choices or support requested functionality.
2. Storage we currently use
- Authentication cookie (`authToken`): essential, first-party, HttpOnly cookie used to keep a signed-in browser session on the frontend domain. The cookie may persist for up to 7 days, while the current signed token itself expires after about 24 hours.
- Shopping cart local storage (`shopping_cart`): functional storage used to remember items you explicitly place in the cart. It remains until checkout, removal, or browser-data clearing.
- Theme-preference local storage: functional storage used to remember the visual theme you select. It remains until you change the preference or clear browser data.
3. What we do not currently use
The site does not currently use advertising cookies, cross-site behavioral advertising trackers, or analytics cookies. If that changes, we intend to update this notice and implement any consent mechanism required by applicable law before those technologies are activated.
4. When consent may or may not be needed
Under European ePrivacy-style rules, consent is normally required for cookies or similar technologies unless they are strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested. The current authentication, cart, and user-choice storage described above is used to operate the sign-in, purchase, and preference features you actively use.
Because the current site only uses essential or functional storage of that kind, we do not currently run a cookie consent banner. If non-essential tracking is introduced later, that position should be revisited before launch.
5. Managing cookies and local storage
- You can sign out to clear the active browser authentication state from the site.
- You can delete cookies or site data in your browser settings.
- You can clear local storage from your browser tools or site-data settings if you want to remove cart or theme data.
- Blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in, checkout, or other requested features from working correctly.
